Association Of Hepcidin (HAMP) Gene Polymorphism And Cytokines, Iron, And Hb Levels In Covid-19 Patients

Introduction: COVID-19 is a new type of coronavirus that infects humans and causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). Isolated in Wuhan City, China, December 2019. Similar to discoveries relating the coronaviruses cause (SARS-CoV) Middle East (MERS-CoV). Levels cytokines (Interleukin-6, Interleukin-1 β ), iron hemoglobin changed during disease. Hepcidin an regulatory protein encoded by HAMP gene . 
 Material Methods : Serum IL-6, IL-1 , are measured ELISA kit Iron ,UIBC TIBC colorimetric methods. The genotyping was done ARM-PCR technique with specific set primers. Results difference Hb serum levels, UIBC, TIBC, IL-1, conc. between patient recovery groups statistically significant at P≤ 0.05 No two hepcidin polymorphism because Polymorphisms appeared (in most samples). Conclusions: persons involved this study (most them) heterozygous, indicates presence mutation allele it may be one reasons for deficiency study.
